Salted Caramel Brownies

So to give you poor people a much needed break from my face I figured why not upload one of my recipes. Anyone who knows me knows that I love cooking and baking... and more importantly eating, (although I'm trying to cut down on that part) so why not share?

After making 2 batches of these bad boys in 2 days and only eating 4 can I just say, I thought it would be a good idea to post the recipe on my blog, so you all could experience the same gooey, chocolaty, indulgence as me and my friends did. With it being super easy, super tasty and of course super chocolaty I guarantee once you've tasted these brownies you'll not only be cooking up another batch but you'll regret sharing them with your friends and family... like I did.

Ingredients

Brownie Mixture:
200gr Dark Chocolate
100gr Milk Chocolate
250gr Butter
400gr Brown Sugar
4 Eggs
140gr Flour
50gr Cocoa

Salted Caramel:
150gr Granulated Sugar
125ml Double Cream
10g Butter
A Pinch Of Sea Salt

Method:
1. Put the oven on 180C

2. Make the salted caramel.
a) Melt the sugar in a saucepan on a medium heat until dark brown
b) Once melted remove the sugar and add half the cream, stirring at the same time
c) When the mixture has settled, add the remaining cream and butter. (If lumpy pop back on the heat)
d) Salt to taste

3. Line your tin

4. Place the chocolate, butter and sugar into a bowl and microwave in short bursts, mixing in between each session until melted

5. Stir in the eggs one by one, adding a few spoons of flour and cocoa in between to prevent the mixture from curdling

6. Layer the brownie mixture and caramel in the tin, starting with half the brownie mixture and finishing with caramel. Remember: Save some caramel for decorating.

7. Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes depending on how gooey you like your brownie (I baked mine for just over 30)

8. Take out the oven and let the brownie cool before removing from the tin and drizzling in the remaining caramel.

9. Cut up, forget how fattening there are and enjoy!
